Company says: The Ghost 7 is a triple threat of balance, cushion, and lightweight materials. Hitting the sweet spot for millions of runners, this neutral running shoe for women gives you the stuff to kick back for miles on end, or lean in and pick up the pace. We’ve maintained the horseshoe-shaped crash pad, full ground contact, and omega grooves in the forefoot for the super-smooth heel-to-toe transition runners love. We’ve improved the multi-award-winning Ghost by making it smoother and lighter. BioMoGo DNA in the midsole offers adaptive cushioning while staying more flexible. Bigger lugs in the forefoot make the Ghost feel more responsive as you run. And the look? More modern while remaining technical, thanks to the Ghost’s signature color-shift chevron and no-sew overlays. The Ghost may scare off the competition, but it’s plenty friendly to your feet.

I say: I, of course, love this model over the previous editions. The Ghost 7 has the updated cushioning which has made it much softer, which I am a big fan of. I ran in the Ghost 3 around 4 years ago, (which was my first running shoe), and I have always been a fan of the Ghost since. The forefoot and heel areas are roomy, for those who like a lot of room in their shoes, this is a great choice. The caterpillar crashpad allows for plenty of flexibility without making it a minimal shoe, which is a great feature. The inner portion of the shoe has a built up arch to it, making it fairly prominent to the feet. Another feature that I am a fan of is the laces. Brooks and Saucony are the two companies who do this to all of their shoes, but the laces are flat. This allows for the laces to stay tied longer and to rest flat against the foot, relieving some of the pressure that might come from the rounded laces. Great shoe for any runner.
