Comparable shoes: Asics 2000, Adidas Supernova Sequence, Nike Structure

Company says: The Guide is the ultimate training partner for runners seeking a plush feel and light to moderate support. The 8th edition features an even more flexible ride and a seamless forefoot designed to maximize comfort and minimize weight. The SRC Impact Zone now extends further into the midfoot, creating a full ground contact experience and an improved transition for every runner.

I say: They have not changed much from the Guide 7 to the 8, the forefoot is more flexible, definitely a better transition. Cushioning still has that same soft feel. Definitely for those who have been in the Guide before, you can trust that you will enjoy this model. Those who haven't been in the guide before, it is an easy shoe to fall in love with. With a light medial post, this shoe works for those who need just a little bit to a medium amount of control during their run. Keeping it lightweight and soft enough to feel like your feet are not encased in a brick, as the way some stability shoes can feel like. I would recommend this shoe to anyone.
